How Much Does Christmas Light Installation Cost in Boise?
There’s no one price for Christmas lights, because no two rooflines are the same. A single-story ranch with one long eave and a two-story home with three peaks are very different jobs. Here’s what changes the size of the job, what’s included every time, and how to get your exact price for free.
What changes the size of the job
- How much of the house you light. Our quote form asks this first: front only, front and sides, or front, sides and back. The front is what the street sees, so it’s a natural place to start.
- How much roofline you have. We measure your roofline and peaks and custom-cut every strand to fit, so a longer roofline means more lights and more time on the ladder.
- Height and peaks. Second stories, tall gables and steep peaks take more ladder work and more care than a single-story eave.
- Trees and bushes. Wrapping trees and bushes adds to the roofline work, and big trees take more lights than small ones.
- Wreaths and garland. Want wreaths on the windows or garland on the porch? Add them to the same install.
What every install includes
- Custom-cut LED lights that fit your home, with no extra cords or spare lights hanging off it.
- Commercial-grade lights and a weather-ready install built for Idaho winters.
- Roof-safe clips that grip your roofline without nails, screws or sticky residue, and never pull on your gutters.
- Every strand tested on install day, and a walk around the display with you before we leave.
- Mid-season fixes: if a strand goes dark or the weather knocks something loose, call us and we’ll come back to fix it.
- Free takedown and storage: we take everything down on a date you pick and keep your lights in our storage unit, organized and ready for next season.
Ways to keep your quote down
- Start with the front. It’s the side everyone sees. Light the front this year and add the sides another year.
- Pick a few big moments. One wrapped tree by the walk can do more than lighting every bush.
- Ask early. Install calendars fill up as the holidays get closer, so an early quote gets you the most choice of dates.
Paying a pro vs. doing it yourself
Buying lights and hanging them yourself can cost less up front. You also get the ladder, the cold, the tangled strands, the guesswork on extension cords, and the whole job again in reverse in January. With us, none of that is yours, and next year your lights come out of storage already cut to fit your home. Here’s how a professional install works, start to finish.
