Do you install Christmas lights on businesses?

Yes. We design, hang, look after and take down holiday lights for homes and businesses across the Treasure Valley, from Boise and Meridian out to Nampa and Caldwell. We handle every strand, clip and extension cord, so nobody on your staff has to climb a ladder.

We’re locally owned and fully insured, and every Double Take tech is background-checked.

What can a business have lit?

  • Rooflines and peaks. The lines people see from the street and the parking lot. We measure every roofline you want lit and custom-cut each strand to fit, so there are no extra cords or spare lights hanging off the building.
  • Trees and bushes. A wrapped tree by the entrance or along the walk catches the eye of people driving by. We wrap trees and bushes too.
  • Wreaths and garland. Garland around the front door and a wreath or two make the entry feel ready for the season.
  • A shop or second building. Tell us about it when you ask for a quote. We measure it too, so it gets the same clean fit.

Our quote form starts with how much of the building you want lit: front only, front and sides, or front, sides and back. For most businesses the front is the side customers see, so it’s a smart place to start.

What every install includes

  • Bright LED lights that are easy on your power bill.
  • Commercial-grade lights and a weather-ready install built for Idaho winters.
  • Roof-safe clips that grip the roofline without nails, screws or sticky residue, and never pull on your gutters.
  • Every strand tested on install day, and a walk around the display with you before we leave.
  • Mid-season fixes: if a strand goes dark or the weather knocks something loose, call us and we’ll come back to fix it.
  • Takedown on your date: right after New Year’s or a few weeks later. We take down the lights, clips and cords, pack your lights into labeled bins and keep them in our storage unit until next season.

We don’t install permanent lights. Every install goes up for the season and comes down on the date you pick, so the building goes right back to the way we found it. Every fall we send a quick text to get you back on the schedule.

Why do businesses hire out their Christmas lights?

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says there are about 160 Christmas decorating injuries every day of the holiday season, and nearly half involve falls. At work, OSHA says falls are among the most common causes of serious work-related injuries and deaths. Sending an employee up to the roofline in November puts that risk on your staff.

Then there’s the time. Someone has to buy the lights, measure, hang and test every strand, fix what goes dark, and do it all again in reverse after the holidays. With us, that job comes off your list, and next year your lights come out of storage already cut to fit your building.

When should a business put up Christmas lights in Boise?

Plan to have them up before Thanksgiving weekend, when holiday shopping gets going. Boise’s first measurable snow comes around November 23 on average, and lights go up easiest on a dry roofline in early to mid November. Install calendars fill up as the holidays get closer, so October is a great time to ask for a quote.

Once they’re up, they work hard. In early and mid December, the sun sets around 5:09 PM in Boise, so a lit roofline is on display for the whole evening, every evening, through the darkest weeks of the year.

How do you plan lights around customers and your building?

  • Check with your landlord. If you lease your space, get the OK from the owner or property manager before anything goes on the building.
  • Know the rules. If your building sits in a business park or a shopping center, check its rules on holiday lights before you book, and tell us what they say.
  • Find your outdoor outlets. Lights need power close to where they hang, so point out your outdoor outlets when you ask for a quote. Outdoor lights belong on a GFCI outlet, the kind with test and reset buttons.
  • Keep walkways clear. Cords shouldn’t cross a sidewalk, an entrance or the path your snow shovel or plow takes, where they can trip a customer or get cut.
  • Share your busy hours. Tell us when your doors open and when foot traffic peaks, so we can talk through an install time that keeps ladders out of your customers’ way.

What about HOAs and property managers?

If you live in an HOA, check its rules on holiday lights before you book, then tell us what they say and we’ll plan the install to match. Managing a clubhouse, an office building or other shared property? Tell us what you’d like lit when you ask for a quote. We answer every quote request within one business day.

Hanging your own? Do it safely

  • Plug in and check every strand on the ground before it goes up.
  • Use clips made for rooflines and gutters, never nails or staples.
  • Set the ladder on firm, level ground, and have someone hold it.
  • Stay off icy or wet roofs, and skip windy days.

How much does commercial Christmas light installation cost?

Every building gets its own quote, because no two are the same. The price depends on how much of the building you want lit, how much roofline it has, how tall it is, and whether you add wrapped trees, wreaths or garland. Here’s what changes the price of an install. Quotes are free, with clear pricing and zero pressure to book.
