About Riverside Village

The neighborhood was built as the Riverside Village project, with Idaho Forest Industries and Evans Brothers Construction behind it, and a 1980 agreement covered the Greenbelt along its length. That path works a little differently here. For about a mile and a half it’s a walk-your-bike zone, and since 2008 Garden City has made riding a bike through Riverside Village a misdemeanor. The result is a slower, walking-only stretch of river path running past the homes.

What’s Hard on Windows in Riverside Village

Homes this close to the Boise River catch the full cottonwood season every late spring. The fluff mats into screens, piles up in tracks and sticks to wet glass after the sprinklers run. Each pane is scrubbed by hand with a mop and squeegeed dry, and the frames, edges and sills get detailed. Every screen comes off and goes back on. For the fluff, add screen cleaning on our XERO screen cleaning machine, and we can detail the tracks too. Light hard water spots get worked on during the cleaning, and anything heavier is priced on site.

When to Book a Cleaning in Riverside Village

Hold your spring cleaning until the cottonwood fluff has finished falling, usually late spring. A second cleaning in fall gets the river-side glass ready for the gray inversion months, when clean windows let in whatever light there is. Homes with a lot of river-facing glass may want the Quarterly plan.

Riverside Village Window Cleaning FAQs

Quick answers for homes in Riverside Village, Garden City.

Do you need Greenbelt access to clean my river-side windows?

No. We work from your yard. Most glass is scrubbed by hand from the ground, and some second-story panes get a water-fed pole. For an exterior-only visit, nobody needs to be home, and we bring our own water and equipment.

Why do my screens get so dirty in late spring?

That’s cottonwood season. Trees along the Boise River release fluff that drifts into Riverside Village and mats into screens and tracks. Screen cleaning on our XERO machine and track detailing are add-ons, and booking them right after the fluff stops gets the most out of your cleaning.

How much does window cleaning cost in Riverside Village?

Prices start as low as $175. Your exact price depends on how many windows you have, inside, outside or both, and extras like screens and tracks. Here’s what changes the price, or get a free quote.
