Farwest LLC planned this neighborhood in 2002 on 354 acres west of Linder Road and south of Chinden, directly across from Rocky Mountain High School. It takes its name from a rapid on the Lochsa River in north-central Idaho, and the street signs keep the river theme going: Wolf Rapids, Ladle Rapids, Boulder Bar, Moose Creek. The first homes went up in 2003. Since then the landscaping has had about two decades to fill in, and water features show up well beyond the entrance.
