Ridgecrest Golf Club was laid out by architect John Harbottle III as a modern links-style course in what Visit Idaho calls the old rolling corn fields of Nampa. Its land, along with nearby Centennial Golf Course, was once part of the state school farm, and the City of Nampa bought the 498.93 acres under both courses to keep that green space in the heart of the city.
