The city calls the Steunenberg Residential Historic District one of the most historically intact neighborhoods in Idaho, with more than 330 homes. Its edges run from The College of Idaho at 20th Avenue along Blaine, Fillmore and Everett streets to 12th Avenue South. Most houses date from the 1910s through the 1930s, in styles from Queen Anne to Tudor Revival. The neighborhood also holds the site where former Governor Frank Steunenberg was killed by a bomb in 1905.
